How do I get started with Refer a Friend?
- Enter your first and last name and email address and click "Start Referring" above. We'll assign you a unique link that will allow you to get credit for your friends who use Xoom for the first time.
- Follow the instructions to share your unique link with friends via email, Facebook or Twitter.
- To check on your rewards at any time, visit xoom.com/refer.
How many friends can I refer?
You can refer as many friends as you want! Please review our terms and conditions for additional details.
Can I refer myself?
You may not refer yourself.
How can my friend and I ensure we get our reward?
Your friend must click on the unique link that you sent them and complete their first successful money transfer with xoom.com. In order for your referral to be valid, once your friend clicks on your unique link and starts the money transfer process, he/she should not
- Clear the cookies on his/her computer before finishing sending the money transfer
- Close the xoom.com website before finishing sending the money transfer
- Click on any other xoom.com links before finishing sending the money transfer
- Cancel their money transfer
How long will it take to receive my reward?
Typically, it takes 2 business days after your friend’s first successful transaction to receive your reward.
What are the rewards?
You can choose to receive a $25 Amazon or Walmart.com e-gift card. Friends you refer will receive a $25 Amazon e-gift card.
How do I choose my reward?
- Visit xoom.com/refer and enter your first name, last name and email address and click "Submit".
- Click the "Rewards" button. You will be asked to request a code, which will be sent to you by email.
- Enter the code from the email and click "Verify Code."
- Click on the Amazon or Walmart.com icon to choose your reward.
Please note: If you do not choose a reward type, you will receive Amazon rewards by default. You can change your reward type at any time.
How will I receive my reward?
You will receive the reward directly from your chosen rewards vendor in an email with the subject line, "Xoom Refer a Friend Reward".
The email will contain a claim code that you will need to redeem your reward. Follow the instructions in the email to redeem your reward.
Please be sure to set your email account preferences to allow you to receive emails from the vendor of your choice and check your spam or junk mail folders if you do not see the reward in your inbox within 2 business days.
How can I check on my referrals and rewards?
Checking the status of your rewards is easy! Simply
- Log into your Refer a Friend account at xoom.com/refer
- Click the "+" button and choose "My Stats"
You can check out who you have sent links to, and how many you have earned.
Please note: "Clicks" mean that a friend has clicked your link, but has not sent. "Clicks" are not earned rewards.
I haven't received my reward! Who do I contact about this?
We're happy to help, but before contacting us, please make sure you have
- Checked the dates - confirm with your friend that his/her recipient received the money more than 2 business days ago
- Looked for an email with the subject line, Xoom Refer a Friend Reward from your chosen vendor
- Checked the correct email inbox. We will be sending your reward to the email address used when you signed up for the Refer a Friend Program
- Searched for your reward in your junk/spam folder
