What are the Bank Deposit requirements in Peru?

Bank Deposits are available through Xoom's partners: Interbank, Banco de Credito, BCP, or BBVA Banco Continental. It typically takes an hour for funds to be deposited into your recipient’s account.

If you’re sending U.S. dollars to a BCP neuvo sol account, the receiving bank may convert the U.S. dollars into Peruvian nuevos soles at the current exchange rate.

Bank Deposit requirements
In order for your Bank Deposit to be processed in a timely manner, please make sure you provide all information needed for the transfer.

  • Bank name, as bank deposits are available at 3 different banks in Peru. See Xoom Money Transfer Locations for complete list of banks.
  • Account number
  • Your recipient’s full name as it appears on their bank account (include the paternal and maternal name accordingly)
  • Complete address, including the city and region
  • A valid phone number (city code+domestic number)
  • For Interbank transactions, you’ll need to know the account type (checking or savings)
